CADCA also will present Congressional Leadership Awards to recognize outstanding members of Congress who have championed legislation and strategies to protect and enhance the federal role in substance abuse prevention, education, treatment and research. This year, CADCA will conduct a rally on legislation and funding issues related to substance abuse prevention, with an emphasis on the Drug Free Communities program, and coalition leaders at work in their communities. Key congressional leaders have been invited to participate in this event, which will take place on Capitol Hill. Don't miss this exciting opportunity to interact with your fellow coalition leaders and to ensure that substance abuse prevention is on the radar screens of all members of Congress. Congressional Reception  |  5:30pm - 6:30pm

Last year, Capitol Hill Day concluded with an incredible congressional reception on the Hill. CADCA was honored to have several distinguished members of Congress and their staff attend the reception. This year will be even better! Don't miss this valuable opportunity to network with members of Congress and key staffers. Capitol Hill Day Buses  |  11:15am - 7:00pm

CADCA will provide complimentary continuous shuttle service from the entrance outside Gaylord Maryland 1 to Union Station. (See map of Capitol Hill in Legislative Kit for reference). The Congressional Reception will be held in 902 Hart Senate Building between 5:30 and 6:30pm. The last bus from the Gaylord National to Union Station will depart at 6:00pm, and the last bus from Union Station to Gaylord National will depart at 7:00pm).
